ah, turkey leftovers....had some today...wish I had gotten a bigger bird, almost nothing left over for my mac&cheese with turkey.....one of my all time favs.

my pie--well, I should have thought ahead when it said to add the melted chocolate and the milk--the milk should have been warmed since it made the chocolate harden immediately.....but it tasted ok after I warmed the whole thing up (kinda like making zabaglione....)

nice to have a day to sleep in....got my xmas lights up, though the dumb rope lights seems to not be replaceable

will do more xmas decorating tomorrow....

I think both my family and my gf's family have leftover turkey. Which is awesome. Love it.

Slept in today for the first time in a while. Went to bed at 11pm and got up at 9:30 when my buddy texted me. Crazy! Probably going to lunch with my buddy and our gf's. Should be a grand ol' time.

slept in again today....then had to go run some errands........bleh.
put my lights up outside yesterday (have them old rope lights)...and half of them are dead.

so went to buy more

...its sad but I think I had a good time at the hardware store (you know there is something wrong when you are oh-ing and ah-ing over the power tools and you are FEmale!

....almost bought another set of screwdrivers--I think my husband eats them)......

now to put them up (hoping for no precipitation next weekend...since we have to take the dead ones down and put up the new ones)....

Well we are back home, well at my gf's apartment anyways. Left directly after church and came home. 3 hours of driving went by really fast with someone to talk to. We had a great time. Also did meet up with my buddy and his gf. That was a blast. Went to Portillo's. First time ever there and wow was it delicious!

Hope you feel better soon cosy. The gf and I are putting up the tree today and putting lights on it. Should be good.

cant seem to shake the sore throat...might be needing to see the idiot--I mean doctor.

Ya it seems like the sore throat is the worst thing that people are experiencing that I know. Everyone is saying the sore throat is the worst part, I know for me it was. Hope you feel better soon.

blarg...lots of stuff to do this month...even though we just about finished our to do list from 2 weekends ago (still one thing--xmas lists

....my family never did that kind of stuff, we KNEW what our siblings would like, didnt have to ASK what they wanted).

cant believe xmas is less than a month away--and its still warm out

....kinda like the first year I was in japan, we had no snow until xmas eve --at which time it messed with people flying home

.....THOUGH I am NOT complaining about the lack of the s word.....I think it just confusing my normal perception of this time of year....though I can stand to be confused for quite a few more weeks

Mine is $20 for medical and I don't remember ER... But it is pretty good.

Company's don't usually care how good their insurance is, so long as it is cheap.

its not.

they take a bundle from my hubby's check and our deductible--we met for the first time this year (a 10k trip to the hostipal will do that for ya).
and from what others have said, the company that they are replacing it with is worse

good news no sore throat this evening, but still a slight fever

really wish I knew what the heck it was (so I could save myself $136)...ah oh well, its probably just a virus, which doctors cant do anything about ...and which just have to run their course...(hey just saved a bunch of money in less than 15 minutes

I'd take a fever over a sore throat any day. And ya, probably just a virus. Just let it work through your system. That is what I did.

yeah....if it goes into next week then I guess I will have to see some one (it will be 3 weeks at that point)....though its getting old already.
dang its getting colder outside....guess I need to finish up my insulation project (got the door insulation over the weekend--now just gotta put it on the door-----).

we saved the last of the turkey for turkey mac&cheese for dinner tonight

....then, no more turkey

...guess it will be time to go grocery shopping again soon

sorry 'bout that pwnd...I usually have a good sized bottle of advil for stuff like that, but advil doesnt work on sore throats (NOTHING really does

)...so I hear ya' on that one.

dang its getting colder and colder....need to get my extra insulation up this weekend!

did my replacement rope lights (hubby still needs to get his replacement set up--I cant do stuff over my head due to vertigo)....look ok

and my fieps are happy as I went to the bread store today and they have a nice selection of breads (9 grain wheat, cinnamon roll bread, etc)...I hope they let us eat them before they get too hard!
